Sri Swami Sivananda, one of the greatest yoga masters of the 20th century, was committed to teaching yoga for the health and well-being of others, especially the underserved.
Therefore, he is the inspiration behind Maha Shanti School of Yoga. Our classes provide immersion in self-inquiry, breath awareness, concentration, meditation and silence, in addition to asana practice.
This integral path of yoga includes Bhakti, Karma, Jnana and Raja Yoga. The Sivananda Lineage is known as the Royal Path or the Rishikesh Series.
The essence of this lineage is embodied in six words:
